What is a security system?
Control panel
The control panel is the brain of the intrusion-alarm system. It receives signals from the devices that make up the system, processes the data and activates alarm devices.
Keypads
The keypads allow users to arm, disarm and manage the entire system. They are available with displays for simply viewing information, or with touchscreens with a fast, customizable user interface.
Proximity readers
Proximity readers allow the system to be controlled by simply approaching them with a proximity tag or a card.
Remote controls
Remote controls are wireless devices that allow remote activation or deactivation of the intrusion-alarm system without the need of using a keypad or proximity reader. Their operation is made possible by a receiver connected to the control panel.
Detectors
Detectors are devices that signal attempts to break into premises or tamper with the system. Several types are available: outdoor, indoor, hardwired and wireless. They connect to the control panel or to the system expansion modules.
Expansions
The expansions activate outputs, switch on and switch off or adjust the intensity of lighting, open and close roller shutters and gates.
Sounder-flashers
Sounder-flashers are audible-visual alarm signalling devices that warn building occupants of attempted intrusion and discourage intruders.
Communicators
Communicators signal intrusion attempts via voice calls, SMS texts, emails and push notifications. They can be internal or external to the control panel, connected via PSTN line, GSM or Web. They allow users to connect the control panel to the Inim cloud and, using the Smartphone app, switch on, switch off or activate outputs and receive alarm notifications.
